    What Up? (musically speaking today)

I thought it might be a good time to re-start this topic for posting about the music currently on our minds and in our disc players!
In my case it may very well be something on my turntable! Yes, I still play records albums and even singles. My vinyl is about 89% of my collection at this point.

    Well, anyhow....No turntable today!
I'm listening to the latest additions to my Beatles collection:

    Beatles - Anthology 3
    John Lennon - Acoustic
    John Lennon - Rock'N'Roll

That should have me caught up to date but I just heard Ringo has a new CD called CHOOSE LOVE!

    Beatlemania....It just never ends sometimes!

    Hey Gus, great topic!
Lately I've been listening to Alice In Chains, Sex Pistols, Nirvana, Business, Ramones, Green Day, Man Ray, Josh White and Telecast.
    Beatles are always great!!!

I was reading Music News by Mr. Ella and noticed the Sex Pistols are booked for that Live 8 (live Aid 2} or what ever it is called, next month.

Now that should really be something!

Some interesting interests you've got there Ravensong!

    Keep on rocking!

Job for man who stabbed George Harrison

A SCHIZOPHRENIC from Merseyside who stabbed former Beatle George Harrison is back working in the region - at a Citizens Advice Bureau.

Michael Abram, 39, is starting a new life as a volunteer advisor to members of the public at a CAB office in Merseyside.

A Citizens Advice Bureau spokesperson confirmed: "Michael Abram is training as a volunteer advisor at CAB in the North West.

"He is fully recovered from his illness and deeply regrets his past action. He now has a chance to continue rebuilding his life by contributing to a local charity. We believe he is entitled to privacy while he does this."

Former drug addict Abram stabbed Harrison 10 times and attempted to strangle his wife, Olivia, 52, after breaking into the star's ?10m home in Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, in December 1999.

At the time, Harrison and his wife described the attack as "full of hatred and violence".

The guitarist later described how he felt the knife plunging in and out of his chest during the attack.

Three psychiatrists testified at Abram's trial that he suffered from severe paranoid schizophrenia.

He believed he was "the fifth Beatle" and was convinced Harrison was the "Phantom Menace", a figure from the writings of Nostradamus. Harrison died from cancer in 2001, while Abram was still in a secure hospital.

But eight months later, with no consultation with his family, a Mental Health review panel ruled Abram was fit to be released and he was moved into a lowsecurity hostel.

He now lives in a flat in Liverpool having been cleared in November 2000 of the double attempted murder on the grounds of temporary insanity.
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I hope Paul and Ringo are beefing up security!!!
